About

For locals and visitors this blog aims to help you to make the most out of your time in the warm heart of Africa.

Putting our extensive Malawian and African knowledge to use, the Malawian based safari and adventure company, Malawian Style will share our tips, including places to go, eat, and drink and the many things to do see in our beautiful Malawi.

Why Malawi?

If you have stumbled upon this site in a search engine fuelled pursuit to help you to decide whether or not to travel to Malawi, we would say just do it, everybody who comes here falls in love with the place! But if you still need convincing, here are a few reasons why Malawi rocks

  • Known as the “Warm Heart of Africa,” Malawi has an everlasting summer.
  • It isn’t just the weather that’s warm in Malawi – Lonely Planet ranks Malawi 3rd among the world’s friendliest countries.
  • Malawi is off the beaten track and not necessarily the first choice for tourists in Africa. The reason is probably because most tourists aren’t aware of what Malawi has to offer. However this has it’s plusses by making Malawi one of the worlds best kept secrets and aside from being incredibly beautiful it is also largely unspoilt and pristine.
  • If you’d like to experience the true Africa, Malawi is perhaps just the place to try out. It’s safer, cheaper and more stable than most other African countries, making it a good choice for first time travellers to Africa and Malawi has often been labeled as ‘Africa for beginners’.
